This guide is for first-time Shadowrocket buyers on iPhone or iPad. Verify the app, purchase terms, and account before searching the App Store, paying, and installing. Then distinguish your purchase record from app configuration and connection services. If you already have a provider and subscription, continue with the getting-started guide after installation.
1. Verify the app and purchase terms
Shadowrocket is a closed-source commercial app for Apple platforms, available exclusively through the App Store. On the product page, verify the developer, Shadow Launch Technology Limited, and app ID 932747118. The app is sold as a one-time purchase. This guide covers iPhone and iPad; compatibility with Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision, system requirements, and the scope of universal purchase are as listed on the App Store page.
Buying the app ≠ buying a connection plan. The purchase gives you access to the client; it does not automatically provide a usable server address, subscription link, or connection credentials. The App Store handles the app purchase, while your provider manages any connection service you already have. Check their costs, accounts, and issues separately.
Verify what you’re buying before checking the price
Check the price only after the app name, developer, and app ID all match. The currency, taxes, and final amount depend on the storefront associated with your account and the system’s purchase confirmation. Don’t use prices from another region to estimate this charge.
2. Check your App Store account and storefront region
The purchase is associated with the Apple Account used to complete the transaction. The iCloud account signed in on your device may differ from the account used for App Store purchases, so don’t rely on the name at the top of Settings to identify the purchasing account. Before you begin, check Media & Purchases—especially on a new device or after signing in again or changing accounts.
- Open Settings → your name at the top → Media & Purchases to check which account is used for store purchases.
- To check the region, go to View Account → Country/Region. You may need to verify your identity first.
- Check the payment methods and billing information available for the account, and resolve any pending transactions. Your payment method must meet the current storefront’s requirements.
- If you’ve bought Shadowrocket before, check your App Store purchases or app list before paying again. Menu names may vary by system version and interface language.
App Store search results and app availability depend on the country or region associated with your account. If you can’t find the app, that alone doesn’t mean you entered the name incorrectly or that the app is no longer available. Check your search terms and storefront, then open the product page from our App Store verification page and review the store’s availability message.
3. Search, verify, and complete your purchase
Follow these steps in the App Store on iPhone or iPad. Search results may include similarly named apps and promoted listings, so open the product page and verify it there. Don’t rely on where a result appears in the list. A price, cloud icon, or Open button indicates a different current status.
-
Search for the app
Open the App Store → Search, then enter the full English name, Shadowrocket. Open the matching product page rather than relying on the shortened title in the search results.
-
Verify the app’s identity
Check the name Shadowrocket, the developer Shadow Launch Technology Limited, and the white icon with a blue-purple outlined rocket. Then verify
id932747118in the product link and confirm it matches the product linked from our App Store verification page. -
Check compatibility
Review Compatibility under Information to make sure your device and system meet the requirements. System requirements and supported devices for purchase are as listed on the App Store page.
-
Confirm the purchase
Tap the price, then check the app name, amount, and payment account on the system purchase confirmation screen. Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your account password as prompted. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm whether you need to double-click the side button.
-
Wait for installation
Keep your internet connection available and wait for the download to finish. When the button changes to Open, tap it to launch the app, or open it from the Home Screen. If the download is waiting or paused, check its App Store status instead of tapping the price again.
The official icon below can help you identify the app. Use it as just one verification point: a similar appearance doesn’t guarantee it’s the same product. Check the developer name and app ID as well. The App Store may show the developer below the app name or list the provider in the Information section.
4. Check the status of your purchase and installation
Purchase confirmation, download completion, and a successful connection are three separate stages. Seeing a purchase confirmation screen doesn’t mean the transaction is complete, and a charge on your account doesn’t mean the download has finished. If something is interrupted, check the App Store button and your purchase history before deciding what to do. Don’t mistake a download delay for a reason to buy the app again.
| Product page status | What it means | What to do next |
|---|---|---|
| Price shown | The current store page doesn’t show a status that lets you redownload the app directly. | If you’ve bought it before, check the purchasing account and purchase history first. If this is your first purchase, continue to payment confirmation. |
| Cloud icon shown | Usually means the current account has a record of getting the app and can download it again. | Tap the cloud and wait for the download. Complete any verification requested by the system. |
| Progress circle shown | The app is downloading or waiting to be processed; installation isn’t complete yet. | Check your internet connection, available storage, and whether the download is paused. Then wait for the App Store to process it. |
| Open shown | The app is installed and ready to launch. | Open the app and continue setting up your own connection configuration. |
To check a transaction, go to Settings → your name at the top → Media & Purchases → View Account → Purchase History. If the transaction appears in your history but the app isn’t installed on your device, return to the App Store using the same account and download it again. Don’t rely on a bank notification alone to determine the transaction’s final status.
- Payment declined: Check that your payment method is valid, your billing information is correct, and there are no pending account issues. Follow the system prompts to resolve them.
- Download taking a long time: Check available storage and your internet connection, then see whether the App Store says the download is paused or needs verification.
- App won’t install: Review compatibility information or system prompts and check the system requirements instead of repeatedly submitting payment.
5. After opening the app, handle purchases and connections separately
After installation, buying Shadowrocket does not automatically give you a working connection. Home is where you view and manage connection entries, Config handles configuration files, and Settings contains app preferences. If the list is empty the first time you open the app, prepare your own service details rather than buying the client again.
- Make sure you already have a provider and subscription, and know whether your details are a subscription link or individual connection parameters. Subscription links may contain access credentials; don’t post them in public comments, screenshots, or support requests.
- If you already have a subscription link, go to Home → “+” in the upper-right corner → Type → Subscribe, enter your own link, and save it. After importing, check that the entry appears, then continue with the getting-started guide.
- Before connecting for the first time, check that your Global Routing selection matches your intended configuration. Config, Proxy, Direct, and Scene are routing options, not purchase plans.
- The first time you turn on the connection, the system may ask to add a VPN configuration. Check where the request came from before allowing it. Once approved, the system creates the relevant VPN configuration for the app. This permission doesn’t mean you’ve made another purchase or that your service is connected.
6. Common questions about buying Shadowrocket
Shadowrocket doesn’t appear in search results. What should I do?
Check the spelling, then go to Settings → your name at the top → Media & Purchases → View Account to check your country or region. Next, open the product page from our App Store verification page and follow the store’s availability information. No search results and a failed payment are different issues.
I bought it before. Why am I seeing a price again?
Don’t pay yet. Check whether the account under Media & Purchases is the one you originally used, then review Purchase History. Once you find the original transaction, try downloading again from the app list or purchased items in the App Store using that account. If the status still doesn’t match, keep the transaction record and contact support through the App Store account support options.
I bought it on iPhone. Do I need to buy it again on iPad?
First, check that the App Store on your iPad is using the same purchasing account, then open the product page or purchased items to see whether you can download it again. Redownloading with the same account and Family Sharing are separate features. Device compatibility, universal purchase, and purchase sharing are as listed on the App Store page. Don’t pay again just because a price appears.
Why can’t I connect as soon as I open the app after paying?
Buying the app only gives you the client. Go to Home and check whether you have your own connection entries, confirm that your subscription has been imported, and follow the getting-started guide to check your routing mode and connection permissions. If the list is empty, prepare your own service details first; a purchase record doesn’t create a subscription or connection parameters.
